Fundraiser Purpose: Our mission at SMAAUW is to empower women and girls in our community through advocacy, education and research — and our annual fundraiser makes that possible! Every ticket you purchase helps us fund college scholarships, youth science camps and programs that help spark potential and shape futures here in our tri-county area!!

located at 775 Hermitage Road in Wirtz, VA / Smith Mountain Lake
Fashion Show & Featured Retailer: The runway awaits! After all, what is Carnivale without fashion! Our spirited models will showcase stylish looks and savvy accessories from Roanoke’s own The Bird Cage Boutique!
Ticket Information: The price is $47 per person and includes a Carnivale-themed buffet lunch, an afternoon of fun and fellowship, our renowned fashion show and much more as you will see below!
Silent Auction: The event includes our signature silent auction which includes themed gift baskets, jewelry, accessories, athletic gear, home decor and discount service offerings as well as pottery, photographs and paintings!
Cash Wine Bar: Our ever popular wine bar returns with specially selected red and white wines. This year we are also proudly introducing our 2025 Scholarship Spritzer which is a fun and bubbly addition to our Carnivale theme!
Our Premier 50-50 Raffle: Once again, we will include our very popular 50/50 raffle! Our lucky winner takes home half of the proceeds of the raffle while the rest of the dollars go to support our college scholarships as well as slots at summer science camp.
What about the SMAAUW Chorus Line? Rumor has it that the fan favorite SMAAUW Chorus Line, introduced last year, may be making a repeat performance at Mask-Her-Aid. Be prepared to clap, smile and laugh as our “semi-talented but always entertaining” chorus line sets the stage for a truly memorable day!
Doors open at 10:30 am to give you plenty of time to socialize and take in the Carnivale spirit. This early opening also allows attendees plenty of time to peruse – and most importantly, BID ON – a whirlwind of silent auction treasures. We welcome your monetary donations too; you don’t even need to buy anything to donate to our cause!
